The EKO Warrior split air to water heat pump is a revolution in air to water heat pump technology.  Traditional air to water heat pumps are units placed outside, although this seems like a good place to put it in respect to the traditional idea of an air source heat pump, but when was the last time a gas boiler went outside?  Mounting the heat pump outside means the water will be running outside, after it has dispersed its heat to the house, this can lead to freezing water running into the heat exchanger, causing serious problems.  This problem of freezing water in an air source heat pump is normally solved by adding glycol to the water to stop it from freezing, but bacteria feed on glycol, which means it will require regular maintenance and topping up.

The EKO Warrior Split Air to Water Heat Pump is a fully MCS approved unit, making it elegible for the Renewable Heat Incentives.  On a warm day the split air to water heat pump can produce 120 times more heat than a good solar panel can, making this technology not only cheaper but also more efficient than solar panels.  The systems use only high efficiency DC inverter compressors and motors, making them not only as energy efficient as possible but these inverter compressors allow the units to heat right the way down to -20.
